What I am now starting to understand in this walk of faith, is Long Suffering. We must endure Long Suffering. Long Suffering is a requirement. It is one of the fruits of the spirit. It's equivalent to love, peace, joy, goodness, gentleness, and faith. Long Suffering is the least liked fruit.
Long Suffering has many purposes. One purpose is to strengthen our faith and build endurance. Another is to lock in and focus on the Lord, but I believe the main purpose is to remind us who God is.
Job had to endure Long Suffering. When Job got frustrated with the Lord. God said to Job "Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth, where were you when I laid the cornerstone, where were you" Reminding Job, I am God, your creator, I created you, and I allow things to happen for my glory.
Sometimes we have to be reminded of who God is. As humans, we have a short memory and we forget God's, his authority, and his goodness. We forget that things could be worse, but overall we know that God will bless us if we faint not.
God used Job to show the devil, who God is and his power. Sometimes God will use your Long Suffering to show others His power, grace, mercy and goodness as a testimony.
At the end of Job story, it was concluded, that God is our creator, our deliver, our rock, our foundation, our provider, our healer. God is faithful and loving.
There will be times when we feel as though God isn't here, or he has forsaken us, or he doesn't care, but during those times, we have to continue to press forward in faith, remembering where he delivered us from, where he has brought us from, remembering without him we wouldn't exist.
We have to continue to trust, knowing that he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Sometimes we have to endure, so that God can get the glory, and can become blessed.
